The story behind the Bort Platforms
My background is in high reliability software and financial platforms, which means I learned early that drama is expensive and surprises are worse. I design cloud infrastructure, delivery pipelines, and internal platforms that are observable, secure, and scalable.
Companies are not battlegrounds for dragon slayers. They are ecosystems. If you design them well, the dragons never hatch.
Infrastructure as code, delivery automation, access boundaries, observability. I care about systems that are boring in production and clear to the people who run them.
If dragons appear when I am around, it is because I put them there on purpose. Usually in a game engine (Unity).
Site Summary
The Bort Platform demonstrates end-to-end ownership of infrastructure, performance, and storytelling. I use Terraform-managed AWS services to create a secure, scalable static platform, then layer on content that highlights projects, decisions, and impact.
